NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERDebbie Macomber’s heartwarming new series, set at the Rose Harbor Inn in picturesque Cedar Cove, displays the author’s signature talent for creating characters who feel like friends, and small towns that feel like home. In this original short story available exclusively as an eBook, Jo Marie Rose readies her inn for spring, turning to her new friends Grace and Olivia when she needs them most. Jo Marie has big plans for her bed-and-breakfast. With the help of handyman Mark Taylor, she intends to plant a beautiful rose garden in time for her upcoming open house. Jo Marie and Mark rarely see eye to eye—especially on matters of home improvement—but she knows he has her best interests at heart. After the two...
This Family Saga give to us some advantages, like this :
1. excerpt, not a short story
this is the first four chapters of rose harboe inn, not a new story. while a good story, if you have read the book don't waste your money buying this. i feel like i have been cheated. i thought kindle singles were not supposed to be excerpts.
2. Five Pages Does Not a Short Story Make
Chapter One captured my interest immediately. I have read some of Debbie Macomber's other books and was looking forward to an enjoyable, though short story of 48 pages, and was shocked when it suddenly ended after 5 pages! It seemed as though Chapter 1 would not have ended at that point. The next page showed a photo advertisement for the Cedar Cove Hallmark Series. I hoped that, perhaps, the photo was an insert and the remaining 43 pages would appear, but such was not the case. This book did not cost the typical amount for one of this fine author's books, but I cannot afford to spend the amount charged for 5 pages. I hope that, somehow, there was a mistake in the printing or production and this was delivered in such an abbreviated form because of an error. I am grateful to say that I have never experienced this in any of my previous orders and hope that such will never occur again.

Short and sweet
Just the thing to review the characters and bring them all back to life in the readers imagination. Looking forward to the TV series.
